Tom Welling, on his real name John Patrick Thomas Welling, was born in New York City, on April 27th 1977. Tom comes from a family with four children, where he was the third child. As students played different sports, such as football and he passed his exams with A+. He currently lives in Los Angeles with his wife, Jamie Witham, a friend from childhood.
He wanted to working constructions, but eventually he started modeling. On a fashion show he met Ashton Kutcher and they become good friends. In 2001 he made his debut in acting as Clark Kent in TV series “Smallville” – series that reveals Superman’s youth. He refused the role twice before signing the contract.
In 2003 he accepted a role in the comedy “Cheaper by the Dozen” opposite Steve Martin and Bonnie Hunt and he continued his role in 2005 in the second half of the film. Also, in 2005 he starred in horror movie “The Fog”, which was not a success, but Tom was appreciated by critics.
For 2010, he still has the leading part in “Smallville” the10th series.
