Taylor Lautner was born in 1992 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He began studying karate at the age of 6 and won several tournaments until the age of 7. He was soon invited to train alongside world karate champion Mike Chat, and when he was only 8 years old, he was asked to represent the U.S.at the World Junior Championships Forms and Weapons, where he won three gold medals.
In 2003, when he was 11 years old, he achieved number 1 in the world in several categories and in 2004, he evolved in three world championships for juniors, with his black belt.
Lautner was tempted to become an actor at 7, when the martial arts instructor persuaded him to give a sample for an ad for Burger King in Los Angeles. When he was 10 years old, his family took the difficult decision to move to Los Angeles to give Taylor a chance for a real acting carrier. Since then, Lautner has received roles in My Wife and Kids, Summerland, The Bernie Mac Show and The Nick and Jessica Variety Hour.
Young, beautiful and rich, Taylor became one of the best paid stars in Hollywood and he can easily financially compete with his Twilight colleagues Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart.
The young actor, known publicly in the trilogy Twilight, where he plays the act of Bella’s best friend, who in special situations becomes a werewolf, recently negotiated a contract for a new film, which will be called Stretch Hasbro.
