Among the most promising actors of the younger generation is Jake Gyllenhaal, who has an impressive list of film appearances. And he continues to attract the attention of both critics and viewers.

Jake Gyllenhaal was born on December 19th 1980 in Los Angeles, he is unmarried and he had relationship with Kirsten Dunst and Reese WIterspoon but he is considered one of the hottest bachelors in Hollywood.
In 2001, Gyllenhaal was nominated for the ”Independent Spirit Award” for interpreting the character “Donnie Darko”, one of the most discussed films in recent years. In 2002, Gyllenhaal made his theater debut in the play mounted by Laurence Boswell in London – “This Is Our Youth” by Kenneth Lonergan. His performance earned Theater London Evening Standard Award for “most promising debut”

Other films that played are Roland Emmerich’s blockbuster – “The Day After Tomorrow”, Miguel Arteta’s film – “The Good Girl”, “Lovely & Amazing” directed by Nicole Holofcener and “October Sky” – directed by Joe Johnston.
In 2005 he starred in “Jarhead”, with Jamie Foxx, Peter Sarsgaard and Chris Cooper and “Proof”, with Gwyneth Paltrow and Anthony Hopkins. The next important project was “Zodiac”, in 2007, directed by David Fincher, where he played the role of author Robert Graysmith (which actually exist), with Robert Downey Jr. and Mark Ruffalo and in 2009 he was casted for “Brothers”.
