Christopher Whitelaw Pine

On his real name Christopher Whitelaw Pine, he was born on August 26th 1980 in Los Angeles, California. Chris comes from a family of actors, for many years his father, Robert Pine, played a role in a famous American series (CHIPS) and his mother, Gwynne Gilford, a former actress retired to become a psychotherapist. Even maternal grandparents had a career in Hollywood: Anne Gwynne and Max M. Gilford.
Chris first studied English at the University of California and then went to England where he studied acting at the University of Leeds. He is studying even more and finishes the American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco.

In 2004, his second film “The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement” is his first success, becoming a celebrity for most teens. In “Just my luck” he has the chance to play alongside Sandra Bullock and although the movie doesn’t impressed much, Chris’ performance was acclaimed by the critics.

In 2009, the director JJ Abrams is giving him the unique chance, to play the role of Captain James T. Kirk in the blockbuster “Star Trek: The Future Begins”.
