Channing Matthew Tatum

Channing Matthew Tatum (born on April 26th 1980) is an American actor, and former model. He was born in Cullman, a small town in Alabama. His family moved to Mississippi when he was six. Being a huge sports lover, he practiced many sports including football, baseball and several stiles of martial arts: Kung Fu and Gor-Chor Kung Fu, being awarded medals in both.

Initially, Channing attended Gaither High School in Tampa, Florida, then moving on to a private school, “Tampa Catholic High School”. He graduated in 1998, receiving a college athletic scholarship to Glenville State College in Glenville, Virginia, but loosing interest in sports he later declined the scholarship,.

Before working as a model, he worked in the construction and sales. As a model he signed contracts with various fashion houses, including Abercrombie & Fitch, Nautica, Gap, Aeropostale and Emporio Armani. He appeared in several commercials for Pepsi and Mountain Dew, but also in Ricky Martin’s video “She Bangs”.
His acting debut came with the successful TV series CSI: Miami and for the big screen, his first starring role was in the film “Coach Carter”.  Other films he starred are Battle in Seattle (2007), în drama „A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints”, Stop-Loss” (2008), Fighting (2009), Public Enemies (2009) şi G.I.: The Rise of Cobra (2009).
