Ashley Michelle Greene (born February 21st 1987 in Jacksonville, Florida) is an American actress, best known for her character Alice Cullen in the Twilight series. She originally planned to become a model, but because of her height of 165 cm, she was refused and was recommended to focus on ads.
Ashley grew up in Middleburg and Jacksonville, and went to the University Christian School before transferring to Wolfson High School. Later, Greene moved to Los Angeles, California, at age of 17 in trying to achieve a career in acting.
Immediately after graduating classes, Ashley fell in love with acting and realized that she prefer acting to modeling. Since then, Greene has appeared as a guest in many famous shows such as “Punk’d” and “Crossing Jordan”. However, Ashley’s became famous when she was selected for the role of Alice Cullen in “Twilight”, a film based on the novel wrote by Stephenie Meyer. Ashley is very good friends with her colleagues from Twilight, especially with Kellan Lutz who she knew before.
She will perform the role of Alice and the following film series: The Twilight Saga: New Moon (2009) and The Twilight Saga: Eclipse (2010). In 2010, Greene will also appear in a thriller “Summer’s Blood”, in which she holds the leading role.
